PFHC offers development training opportunities in 2020 through our through our Academy. The Academy caters to athletes across the following age groups: U14, U16 & U19.

The Academy is primarily suited for athletes that fit any of the following criteria:

  • Those not selected for a travel team from our Aug. 2020 try-out.

  • Athletes new to the game.

  • Athletes who want to train throughout the year on an informal basis.

All training takes place outdoors, exclusively at Bedford Field at Princeton University. Training groups will be organized by age group and/or level of play. Practices will focus heavily on the development of basic and intermediate skill. Academy athletes will not engage in competition outside the club. The Inter-Academy League (see below) will provide ongoing competitive playing opportunities.

Format

The Academy consists of two elements: Practices and an Inter-Academy League (numbers permitting). Practices be held on Tuesday and games on Thursdays.

Equipment

In order to participate in the Academy, athletes are required to provide the following: stick, shin guards, mouth guard and proper footwear (running shoes). Goal keepers need to supply their own kit.  Field players will be required to purchase a training pinnie.
